Berlin / Tunis – Special Report: In a strategic move to advance higher education and bolster international cooperation, the Human Restart Foundation has announced a comprehensive suite of services directed at universities in over 22 countries. This initiative is the culmination of extensive international efforts and conferences, beginning with the Human Restart conference at the University of Bochum in Germany in 2022—which saw the participation of more than 80 experts from 14 European and Arab countries—and followed by the Berlin conference in October 2023.
These efforts materialized significantly during the “University Forum” held in Tunis from October 17-18, 2023. Organized in response to an invitation from the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the forum focused on advancing education in Arab universities and expanding cooperation with European institutions. The event brought together representatives from 40 universities and international organizations.
Cooperation Protocols and Strategic Partnerships A highlight of the forum’s opening ceremony was the signing of a pivotal cooperation protocol between Mr. Youssef Al-Anzan, CEO of Human Restart, and the head of ALECSO. Through this protocol, Human Restart offers a transformative framework for universities, focusing on five core areas:
-
Quality Assurance and International Accreditation Training Program: Empowering universities to elevate their internal quality standards under the supervision of European experts, thereby increasing their chances of recognition by leading international accreditation bodies.
-
International Employment Opportunities: Creating premium career pathways for graduates in medicine, healthcare, engineering, and applied sciences within the German and global job markets, directly combating unemployment and developing specialized skills.
-
German Accreditation for Education and Vocational Training: Granting German accreditation to university vocational centers, which includes providing standardized curricula, training programs, and the certification of trainers.
-
Collaboration Agreements with European Universities: Facilitating dual-degree programs, academic and student exchange initiatives, and joint scientific research endeavors.
-
Joint Summer Camps: Organizing camps for students, administrative, and academic staff to promote cross-cultural exchange and capacity building.
In recognition of Human Restart’s vital role in advancing education, training, and global employment, Dr. Mohamed Ould Ammar, President of ALECSO, honored CEO Mr. Youssef Al-Anzan and German expert Mr. Marcel Vass (responsible for quality development in DAD projects and the University of Potsdam). Following this milestone, numerous private and public universities have already begun utilizing Human Restart’s services to elevate their international standing.
